Embroidery FAQs

Just like you, we HATE set-up fees, so we avoid charging them wherever possible. Depending on volume, there are times where we need to digitize your logo for the application and charge a nominal, one-time $35 charge. You will also own the .dst embroidery files once complete. If you are transitioning from another embroidery company, we recommend you ask for the .dst or .emb files, so we can utilize those and avoid one-time digitization charges.

Yes. Our 5-day turn-around is for all mid to large orders (under 1,000 units) after the garments have arrived and all necessary proofs have been approved. You will receive estimated job completion immediately after your order is placed and we will adjust the production dates accordingly until garments arrive in full. Shipping, if needed, is not included in the 5-day turnaround.

We typically find that our pricing is well below our competitors. We located our warehouse in Reno, NV to save on the overall cost of operating which we then pass through to our customers. As you can imagine, good quality files are essential to great quality screen printing and embroidery. We prefer customers to send high quality PDF, JPG or EPS files when requesting quotes and/or work. However, if you don’t have it, we have you covered. Our design teams can alter or convert your logo or artwork into the right format on an hourly basis. Our design fees are $60/hour, and we bill in half-hour increments.

No. Purpose-Built operates in large volume and we have great pricing with all the major brands and/or suppliers which we pass to you. We also love managing the entire process for our customers as a one-stop-shop.

No. However, our pricing is based on volume, so you save a lot depending on your volume of orders. We use 8-12 head embroidery machines so running a single garment is not time or cost effective. We encourage at least 15-20 units for basic economies of scale.

Yes. Our digitization team will produce a digital sample of your artwork within 2 business days. It is an actual sew-out sample zoomed in for clarity and also to scale. The digitization team works remote, so we do this to save you time and money. If you want to see a physical sample, we can also provide this depending on the volume of your order and location.

Just like you, we HATE set-up fees, so all our fees are included in your pricing up front. In the event your project needs specialty inks or unusual attention, we will let you know up front. Our goal is to be 100% transparent in everything we do.

Yes. Screen printing is very expensive to run small quantities because of the need to set up a screen(s), so we have a 20 unit minimum on all screen printing orders. However, we love helping our clients get out of tight spots, so if you really need something, we can help you out. Our pricing is also based on volume, so the more you do, the cheaper your price per unit becomes.

Purpose-Built prints primarily plastisol inks using the Wilex ink mixing system. It is a licensed mixing system to simulate Panton colors out of the Solid Coated Swatch Library Book. If PMS colors are not specified in art or on your request, we will use Adobe Illustrator’s color converting tool to pick the closest match. We also have metallic, crystalline, and direct to garment application if your job requires it.

Boot Voucher FAQs

Boot Vouchers are simple. We provide you with a custom designed voucher for your team members based on the budget you set. If the budget is $150, our team will charge this amount on your company account and the employee will pay the difference. Vouchers can be set-up using unique coupon codes online or in our stores using actual vouchers. Our back of house team will send out statements once per month with your total balance with a breakdown of who purchased and how they purchased.

Yes, once approved through our credit team. You will receive credit terms of Net30. We always try and make your experience as seamless as possible.

Our standard warranty for defects is 90 days after purchase. However, many of our supplies offer 30 day comfort guarantees + extended warranty periods. These additional warranties are based on the boot manufacturer and/or our volume with your account.

Yes. If you are in Northern California, we have a Boot Truck team that travels and brings over 500 boots to YOU. Just ask and we can get you started.
